A group of French soldiers have been struck by a vehicle in western Paris, according to local media reports.

Six of them were injured – two of them seriously – in the attack near the Place de Verdun in the Levallois-Perret suburb of the French capital

Police are looking for the driver of the vehicle which is said to have been driven deliberately at the troops at speed.

The soldiers were on a routine patrol as part of Operation Sentinelle, launched after the Charlie Hebdo attack in January 2015, to protect civilians from terror attacks.
