The 8.2 magnitude earthquake struck the coast of southern Mexico late Thursday night. At least 60 people have died, according to government officials.
The city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, in the state of Chiapas, is several miles from the epicenter of the earthquake that struck Mexico Thursday night but felt its full strength.
Many historic buildings in the city center were destroyed.
