Barcelona: Sagrada Familia evacuated in ‘anti-terror’ operation
Spanish police have cordoned off one of Barcelona’s main tourist attractions, the Sagrada Familia basilica, as part of an anti-terrorist operation.
A bomb squad has been sent to the area to check a van parked next to the church, police say.
The building and nearby shops have been evacuated. Nearby subway stations are closed.
Last month, 13 people were killed when an Islamist militant drove a van into pedestrians in the city.
