A candlelight peace rally was organized in Vijayawada to mourn the reported death of Ali Khamenei at the age of 89 and to condemn the United States’ actions against Iran. Sufi religious leader Altaf Baba addressed the gathering, stating that the loss of a few brave individuals in a struggle for truth and justice does not mean victory over righteousness. He drew historical parallels to sacrifices made in faith-based struggles and emphasized that moral principles ultimately prevail over aggression.

Speakers at the rally described the developments as deeply painful and called upon the international community to collectively denounce military actions against Iran. They urged nations to unite against what they termed unilateral aggression driven by global dominance. Several Shia scholars and community representatives participated in the event, expressing solidarity and advocating for peace, justice, and global harmony.
