Although CT scans play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing serious health conditions, specialists advise caution regarding their overuse and recommend utilizing the lowest radiation dose that is effective. It is recommended that patients talk with their doctors about the need for scans and explore alternatives such as MRI or ultrasound when suitable, particularly in the case of children.
