Film Permissions Made Easier in Telangana – FDC Chairman Dil Raju

Hyderabad, September 15: Telangana is set to become a more film-friendly state with the launch of a dedicated online platform, “Films in Telangana”, aimed at simplifying permissions related to film shooting, theatre operations, and other industry requirements. The initiative will allow national and international filmmakers to access all necessary approvals through a single-window system.

At a workshop held at Tourism Plaza, Begumpet, Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju, FDC Managing Director C.H. Priyanka, Tourism Corporation MD Valluru Kranti, senior officials, and representatives of the film industry discussed the framework of this new portal. Dil Raju emphasized that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is fully supporting the growth of the film industry, and this opportunity must be utilized by filmmakers and stakeholders.

The portal will provide end-to-end information, from shooting locations and required permissions from different departments to technical crew availability and hospitality options in Hyderabad and other cities across the state. In addition, the government is working on digitizing the process for issuing B-Form licenses for cinema theatre operations, which until now were issued manually by local authorities. Soon, these will also be made available online through coordination with the Home Department.

Dil Raju stated that such a facility is being implemented for the first time in Telangana, making the state more attractive for filmmakers. Once the portal is fully developed, it will be officially launched by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
