
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar visited the sacred Kanaka Durga Temple atop Indrakeeladri Hill in Vijayawada on Monday morning along with his family. He was warmly received at the temple entrance by temple officials, Vedic scholars, and political leaders.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha personally welcomed Shivakumar and accompanied him to the temple’s main entrance. Entering through the special queue line, Shivakumar, his wife, and family members had darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga with great devotion. After the prayers, temple priests performed special rituals and blessed the family, presenting them with prasadam, holy clothes, and a portrait of the goddess.
Speaking on the occasion, DK Shivakumar expressed that visiting the Kanaka Durga Temple was a divine experience for his family. He wished for peace, prosperity, and happiness for the people of both Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. He also appreciated the Andhra Pradesh Government’s meticulous arrangements for Dasara celebrations, ensuring a smooth experience for devotees and VIP visitors from across the country.
