Amaravati, October 24: Andhra Pradesh Revenue, Registration and Stamps Minister Anagani Satyaprasad announced that the state government will bring a comprehensive policy to resolve Service Inam land issues. Committees comprising Endowments Department officials and Tahsildars will conduct a detailed study and submit a report within 45 days. Based on the report and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s guidance, the government aims to provide a lasting solution to these long-pending land concerns. During the Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting on Revenue Reforms held at the Secretariat in Velagapudi, Ministers Anagani Satyaprasad, P. Narayana, P. Keshav, and NMD Farooq discussed land allocation and policy frameworks. Minister Satyaprasad stated that a comprehensive land allocation policy will be introduced soon to ensure transparency in industrial and public land allotments. He also noted discussions on simplifying procedures for pre-hold and Waqf lands. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana revealed that the previous TDP government had initiated the construction of 7 lakh TIDCO houses, with administrative approval for 5 lakh units. However, the succeeding YSRCP government completed only 2.6 lakh houses. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has now directed officials to complete all 2.6 lakh TIDCO houses by June 2026, ensuring justice to the poor and continuity of welfare commitments. Information, Public Relations, and Housing Minister K. Parthasaradhi added that the government is committed to providing 2–3 cent residential plots to all eligible beneficiaries and housing sites for journalists. Despite Supreme Court restrictions, the government plans to seek the Advocate General’s opinion to overcome legal hurdles and proceed with the allotment and construction of houses for journalists.
