Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to ensure that farmers across Andhra Pradesh receive fair prices for all crops without facing any financial loss or procurement hurdles. Reviewing the Agriculture and Civil Supplies Departments at the Secretariat, he instructed that paddy procurement and payments must happen smoothly without delays. The government has set a target to procure 50.75 lakh tonnes of paddy, requiring around ₹13,451 crore for payments. The Chief Minister stressed that the required funds should be coordinated with the Finance Department and directed that gunny bags be supplied to farmers immediately, especially in view of heavy rainfall alerts. He assured that the government stands firmly with farmers cultivating paddy, cotton, maize, and banana and will take timely measures to protect their interests. During the meeting, Minister Achennaidu highlighted problems arising from new procurement guidelines issued by the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI). Responding immediately, CM Naidu spoke directly to Union Textiles Secretary Neelam Rao, explaining the severe difficulties being faced by cotton farmers due to the new rules and sought urgent intervention. CM Naidu instructed continuous follow-up with the Centre through Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and MP Srikrishna Devarayalu. He also directed officials to conduct teleconferences with rice millers, traders, and exporters to resolve pricing and procurement issues. The Chief Minister emphasized proactive weather monitoring, early warnings to farmers, and necessary field-level support to prevent crop loss due to heavy rains.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure robust arrangements in Puttaparthi ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on November 19 and President Droupadi Murmu’s visit on November 22 as part of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centenary Celebrations. The Chief Minister held a review meeting with ministers, Chief Secretary Vijay Anand, and senior officials to assess the preparations. He instructed authorities to beautify Puttaparthi, strengthen security measures, and ensure comfortable facilities for devotees visiting the Maha Samadhi of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. CM Naidu emphasized proper arrangements for parking, traffic management, sanitation, drinking water, food, and restrooms. He also directed officials to organize medical camps and provide adequate APSRTC bus services for devotees. Amaravati / Nellore, October 25: With Cyclone ‘Montha’ set to impact Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conducted an emergency teleconference with all District Collectors, SPs, and senior officials, directing them to remain on high alert. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert, warning that the cyclone will cross the coast near Kakinada on October 28, bringing wind speeds of 90–110 kmph and heavy rainfall between 80–100 mm across districts from Srikakulam to Tirupati. CM Naidu emphasized zero tolerance for loss of life or property, instructing officials to take advance precautionary measures and implement disaster management plans immediately. He ordered NDRF and SDRF teams to be deployed in vulnerable zones and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted essential services—including drinking water, electricity, telecom networks, and civil supplies. The Chief Minister also advised declaring school holidays in high-risk areas if required, and to evacuate coastal residents to safer shelters. Meanwhile, in Nellore, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Dr. Ponguru Narayana, reviewed flood preparedness amid rising water levels in the Penna River and the release of surplus water from the Somasila Project. He warned that the next three days are critical, urging citizens to stay alert. Following his instructions, TDP cadres inspected flood-prone areas near Bodigadithota and relocated affected families to rehabilitation centers. Former Municipal Chairperson T. Anuradha personally supervised food and shelter arrangements for evacuees. Minister Narayana, during a teleconference with officials and TDP teams, stressed continuous monitoring of the situation, ensuring no inconvenience to the public. He instructed authorities to maintain constant communication and take immediate relief measures wherever necessary.
