Addressing the media in Hyderabad, she expressed concern that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe has remained inconclusive even after two years. Kavitha urged the government to complete the investigation swiftly and ensure accountability, stating that KCR would be able to clarify what occurred during the period under scrutiny. Kavitha said she suspects that her phone and her husband’s phone were tapped and made it clear that she would fully cooperate if the SIT calls her for questioning. She criticized remarks opposing the investigation and emphasized that everyone must respect the law. Separately, she accused the BJP-led central government of ignoring Telangana’s interests, citing delays in fulfilling commitments such as setting up educational institutions, industrial projects, Metro Phase-2, and granting national project status. She alleged that several provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act remain pending and described the Centre’s approach as contrary to the spirit of federalism, while also criticizing low budgetary allocations for education and healthcare.
